TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a detail-oriented Saddle Stitch Operator to support high-impact public affairs and advocacy campaigns through precise print finishing. In this on-site role in Washington, DC, you will set up, operate, and maintain saddle stitch equipment to produce booklets and multi-page materials that support strategic communications initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with a small, hands-on team, uphold rigorous quality and deadline standards, and help ensure complex client projects are delivered accurately, reliably, and on time in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor saddle stitch equipment for a variety of print projects.
  • Read and interpret job tickets to ensure specifications, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality checks on finished materials.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and account teams to prioritize and sequence jobs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report issues or delays to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in workflow, quality, and efficiency.
