- Pay: $30.25/hour; overtime at $45.37/hour

- Conduct investigations of child maltreatment reports, including abuse, neglect, and exploitation
- Perform initial and ongoing safety assessments of children and families
- Develop, monitor, and revise safety and risk management plans
- Document all case activities accurately and thoroughly
- Prepare court reports and participate in legal proceedings as needed
- Collaborate with law enforcement, legal, and community stakeholders
- Support safe reunification or alternative safety plans for children
Required:
- Bachelor s Degree in Social Work or a related field
- Knowledge of child welfare investigation procedures
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and assessments
Preferred:
- Prior experience working within Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) investigations
- Familiarity with safety and risk assessment protocols
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
This role involves providing initial assessment and investigation services for child maltreatment cases, supporting families through safety and risk evaluations, and collaborating with community partners. The position is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within the community, all within a compassionate, professional environment.
