Ryder System seeks a Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repair on class 6-8 trucks and trailers. You'll diagnose engine, brake, electrical, and hydraulic issues, complete preventive maintenance, and respond to road calls at customer locations. Use diagnostic software and tools to ensure safe, reliable fleet performance. Collaborate with dispatch and customers, document all work, and follow strict safety and DOT standards. Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers at customer and roadside locations
  • Diagnose and repair engine, brake, electrical, and hydraulic system issues using diagnostic tools
  • Respond to mobile service and emergency road calls, ensuring safe, timely repairs
  • Complete detailed work orders, parts usage, and maintenance records in company systems
  • Inspect vehicles for safety and DOT compliance and report needed repairs
  • Collaborate with dispatch, drivers, and customers to schedule and prioritize work
  • Maintain tools, service truck, and work areas to Ryder safety and cleanliness standards
  • Follow all Ryder, OSHA, and DOT safety policies and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement and training initiatives to enhance technical skills
