Year Up United seeks an Entry Level Financial Advisor to support young adults as they build financial capability and long term stability. In this mission-driven role, you'll coach participants on budgeting, saving, credit building, and student loan literacy; assist with basic financial planning and goal setting; and connect them to vetted banking and investment partners. You'll use data to track outcomes, refine workshops, and collaborate with program staff and employer partners. Ideal candidates are passionate about economic mobility, comfortable explaining financial concepts clearly, and eager to grow in a supportive, learning-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching on budgeting, saving, credit, and debt.
- Facilitate workshops on core personal finance topics for young adults.
- Support participants in setting financial goals and building action plans.
- Track financial outcomes and maintain accurate participant records.
- Collaborate with program staff to integrate financial education into curricula.
- Refer participants to vetted banking and financial services partners.
- Use data to improve coaching approaches and workshop content.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Support outreach and engagement for financial education events.
