Diesel Mechanic

Waste Connections is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our waste collection fleet. In this Skilled Labor role, you'll perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment, complete preventive maintenance, and ensure DOT and safety compliance. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and waste collection equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, including fluid changes, filters, and safety checks
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and on time
• Ensure all work meets company, DOT, and safety standards
• Collaborate with drivers and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Participate in ongoing training and follow environmental and waste-handling procedures
