Senior Staff Software Systems Engineer

Vantor is seeking a Senior Staff Software Systems Engineer to lead secure, cloud-native software solutions with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance. You will architect modern systems, define security and compliance standards, and drive implementation across web, data, and automation platforms. Partnering closely with clients and cross-functional teams, you'll perform security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments while implementing automation for monitoring and compliance. You will mentor engineers, champion best practices, and help shape Vantor's technical direction in a collaborative, low-ego culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable software systems for client solutions
• Define and enforce cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection standards across platforms
• Architect cloud-native solutions with secure infrastructure, identity, and access controls
• Collaborate with product, security, and client teams to translate requirements into technical designs
• Perform security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for new and existing systems
• Implement automation for security controls, monitoring, and compliance reporting
• Mentor engineers, set technical direction, and champion engineering best practices
• Coordinate incident response, remediation, and post-incident reviews
• Review code and infrastructure-as-code for security, reliability, and performance
• Contribute to roadmap, tooling choices, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
