Pediatric Urologist

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Pediatric Urology Locum Tenens physician for 24-hour call coverage in Michigan, with an immediate start and potential extension into 2027. This role focuses on urgent/emergent inpatient consults and rounding on hospitalized patients, primarily addressing testicular torsion and occasional septic stone cases. The position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options.

Practice Info

• Practice setting: Inpatient
• Average call activations: Approximately 4 per week
• Most common activation: Testicular torsion; occasional septic stone
• Support staff: 2 pediatric urologists
• Facility Trauma Level: Level I

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage
• Receive and respond to multiple calls overnight from local emergency centers and parents
• Perform urgent/emergent inpatient consults
• Round on hospitalized patients
• Manage testicular torsion cases

Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible in Urology with Pediatric Urology experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• State license required to apply
• Required procedures/skills: Testicular torsion
