Manufacturing Technician

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support high-quality production of materials, tools, and components used in strategic communications and public affairs campaigns. You will set up and operate equipment, follow SOPs, monitor quality, and document production data to meet strict accuracy and timeline standards. Working in a collaborative, high-performance culture, you'll help improve processes, maintain a safe, organized workspace, and partner closely with senior staff to ensure on-time, error-free delivery for policy, advocacy, and issue-education projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing and finishing equipment according to SOPs and safety standards.
• Inspect output for quality, accuracy, and consistency; document and address defects promptly.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Follow detailed work orders, technical instructions, and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Record production data, material usage, and issues in tracking systems with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to support advocacy and communications deliverables.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
