Packaging Technician

Cargill seeks a Packaging Technician V to lead safe, efficient operation of advanced packaging lines in our manufacturing facility. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment, monitor quality and yields, and complete accurate production records. This senior technician mentors junior staff, supports continuous improvement, and ensures strict adherence to food safety, GMP, and OSHA standards. Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging lines to meet production targets
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and coordinate repairs with maintenance
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and OSHA standards at all times
• Conduct quality checks on packaging, weights, labels, and seals, documenting results
• Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage in systems or logs
• Lead or mentor junior packaging staff and support on-the-job training
• Assist with changeovers, line optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5
• S and housekeeping standards
• Communicate equipment or process issues to supervisors and cross-functional teams
• Follow and promote safe work practices, including PPE use and lockout/tagout
