Inkjet Trainee

TSG - The Sheridan Group is seeking an Inkjet Trainee to support our Manufacturing & Production operations. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to set up, operate, and maintain inkjet printing equipment used in producing high-quality communications materials. Working closely with experienced operators, you'll monitor print quality, perform basic troubleshooting, manage materials, and follow strict safety and quality procedures. This position is ideal for detail-oriented, mechanically inclined candidates who thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment and are eager to build a career in manufacturing and print production.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and shutdown of inkjet printing equipment
• Monitor print runs for quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance under supervision
• Load materials, inks, and substrates and verify job specifications
• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures and documentation requirements
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines
• Inspect finished materials and report defects or equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with safety standards
