Digital Binder Operator

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Digital Binder Operator to support our Printing Media operations within Manufacturing & Production. You will set up, operate, and maintain digital binding and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials for public affairs and strategic communications campaigns. Responsibilities include machine calibration, workflow setup, quality inspection, troubleshooting, and minor repairs while meeting tight deadlines. You'll collaborate closely with a small, hands-on team in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, contributing to impactful client projects at the intersection of policy, politics, and media.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate digital binding and finishing equipment for production jobs
• Calibrate machines for paper size, stock, and job specifications
• Inspect output for print quality, alignment, and finishing accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and production issues
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Follow job tickets and production schedules to meet deadlines
• Coordinate with press and production teams to optimize workflow
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, materials, and machine settings
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
• Support continuous improvement in bindery processes and throughput
