Instacart Delivery Driver

Instacart is hiring Instacart Delivery Drivers to shop for and deliver groceries from local retailers to customers across your area. Using the Instacart shopper app, you'll review orders, shop for accurate items and substitutions, and deliver on time using your own reliable, insured vehicle. You'll navigate efficiently, handle perishable items with care, and communicate with customers for special instructions. This flexible, gig-based role is ideal for self-starters who want to earn on their own schedule in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while representing Instacart in the community.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver grocery orders from local partner stores to customers using your own vehicle
• Review orders in the Instacart shopper app and shop efficiently for accurate items, quantities, and substitutions
• Communicate with customers via the app to clarify orders, substitutions, or delivery instructions
• Ensure on-time deliveries while following all traffic laws and safety standards
• Handle and transport perishable items safely, maintaining appropriate temperature and care
• Use smartphone navigation and Instacart's app tools to plan optimal shopping and delivery routes
• Resolve minor order issues on the spot and escalate complex problems through Instacart support channels
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude and represent Instacart positively at all times
• Track completed deliveries in the app and manage earnings, tips, and schedules
• Follow Instacart policies, including shopper guidelines, store rules, and confidentiality of customer data
