Instacart Shopper

As an Instacart Shopper, you help Instacart connect millions of customers with local grocery and retail partners across North America. In this flexible, app-based role, you'll receive customer orders, shop for groceries and household items in nearby stores, and deliver them to customers' homes. You'll use the Instacart app to manage orders, navigate routes, and communicate with customers about substitutions and delivery updates. Success in this role requires reliability, attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shop and purchase groceries and household items in local partner stores based on customer orders
• Select accurate items, substitutions, and quantities while maintaining product quality and freshness
• Communicate with customers through the app to clarify orders, substitutions, and delivery details
• Safely transport and deliver orders to customers' homes within specified delivery windows
• Follow all Instacart and store policies, including safety, food handling, and checkout procedures
• Use the Instacart app for navigation, order management, and real-time updates
• Manage time effectively to complete multiple orders and routes per shift
• Provide friendly, professional customer service at pickup, during delivery, and via messaging
• Maintain a reliable vehicle, smartphone, and data connection for ongoing work
• Report issues, delays, or order problems promptly through Instacart support channels
