Shop and Deliver

Instacart is seeking independent shoppers to shop and deliver groceries across North America. In this flexible contractor role, you'll use the Instacart Shopper app to accept orders, pick items from local partner retailers, and deliver them directly to customers. You'll navigate routes with GPS, communicate about substitutions, and ensure accurate, on-time delivery while handling perishable and fragile items with care. This role is ideal for self-starters who want schedule control, enjoy being on the move, and like providing helpful, friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack grocery orders from partner retailers accurately and efficiently
• Drive to stores and customer locations using your own vehicle
• Maintain cold chain and handle fragile items with care
• Use the Instacart Shopper app to accept, shop, and deliver orders
• Communicate with customers about substitutions and order updates
• Follow local traffic laws and delivery guidelines for safety
• Manage time to meet tight delivery windows and multiple orders
• Resolve basic customer issues and escalate app problems as needed
