Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Education Coordinator to support staff development within our Education, Training & E-Learning department. In this role, you will assess learning needs, design and deliver clinical education programs, and support onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing professional development for clinical staff. You will collaborate with leaders and educators to ensure evidence-based, patient-centered practice. Responsibilities

  • Assess clinical education needs through collaboration with leaders, review of quality and safety data, and staff feedback.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate orientation, annual competencies, and specialty training programs for clinical staff.
  • Develop and deliver engaging classroom, simulation-based, and virtual training using adult learning principles.
  • Create and maintain e-learning modules, job aids, and other instructional materials within the learning management system (LMS).
  • Facilitate competency validation and skills assessments, documenting completion to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Support the rollout of new clinical practices, equipment, and technologies through structured education and performance support tools.
  • Serve as an educational resource, mentor, and coach for new graduates, new hires, and experienced clinicians seeking professional growth.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to align education with organizational goals, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
  • Monitor and analyze education outcomes and participant feedback to continuously improve program effectiveness.
