Join Giant Eagle as a Warehouse Worker in our Food & Beverage Operations, supporting the Warehouse & Manufacturing team. You'll be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and loading products safely and accurately to keep our supermarkets stocked and our customers satisfied. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all food safety and safety guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect inbound food and beverage shipments for accuracy and quality
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders using handheld scanners and basic warehouse systems
  • Build, wrap, and move pallets safely and efficiently to designated areas
  • Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as trained
  • Follow food safety, temperature control, and product rotation procedures (including FIFO)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in line with OSHA and company standards
  • Report product damage, inventory discrepancies, and equipment issues to supervisors promptly
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and quality goals in a fast-paced setting
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet daily shipping and production schedules
  • Adapt to working in ambient, refrigerated, and freezer environments as needed and follow all PPE guidelines

Required Skills

  • Basic warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, staging)
  • Safe operation of pallet jacks and material-handling equipment
  • Basic forklift operation (or willingness to learn)
  • Use of handheld RF scanners or barcode readers
  • Understanding of basic inventory and order tracking processes
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and product rotation (FIFO) principles
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments
  • Safe lifting, stacking, and pallet building techniques
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and ability to meet productivity targets
