Automotive Technician

Cox Automotive is seeking an Automotive Technician for our Manheim Nevada operation. In this role, you'll inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles in a fast-paced auction environment. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, interpreting diagnostics, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards before sale. You'll use modern tools and technology-driven systems to track work and collaborate with service, operations, and auction teams. Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on auction vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brakes, tires, and fluid services
• Complete advanced repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems
• Conduct safety and quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet standards before sale
• Use diagnostic scanners and software to identify and document vehicle faults
• Accurately record work performed in shop management or auction systems
• Collaborate with operations and auction teams to prioritize and complete work on schedule
• Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance procedures in the shop
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
• Support continuous improvement of processes and customer satisfaction
