K-12 Teacher

Uncommon Schools seeks a mission-driven K-12 Teacher to deliver rigorous, college-preparatory instruction in our public charter schools. You will design standards-aligned lessons, use data to drive instruction, and create a structured, joyful classroom that supports students in historically underserved communities. Teachers collaborate closely with teams, receive frequent coaching, and engage in robust professional development and leadership pathways. This on-site role includes family communication, participation in school-wide duties, and a deep commitment to educational equity and high expectations for all students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned daily instruction to K-12 students
• Design and implement lesson plans using data to drive instruction and differentiation
• Build a structured, joyful classroom culture with strong behavior management
• Assess student learning regularly and adjust instruction based on results
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to align curriculum and share best practices
• Communicate frequently with families about student progress and behavior
• Participate in coaching, observations, and professional development sessions
• Contribute to school-wide duties, events, and a mission-driven culture focused on equity
