High School Math Teacher

Uncommon Schools seeks a High School Math Teacher to deliver rigorous, college-prep instruction in a mission-driven charter school. You will plan engaging lessons in Algebra, Geometry, and higher math, use data to drive instruction, and maintain a warm, demanding classroom with high expectations for all students. Collaborating with a supportive, equity-focused team, you'll receive coaching and professional development, communicate regularly with families, and help build a strong school culture that advances educational equity for historically underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous daily lessons in high school mathematics aligned to standards and college-readiness goals.
• Use data from assessments to analyze student progress and adjust instruction.
• Create an inclusive, well-managed classroom with high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Provide small-group and individual support, differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues and instructional coaches to refine practice and share best strategies.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and goals.
• Participate in professional development, coaching, and observation/feedback cycles.
• Contribute to school culture through advisory, duties, and school events.
