Elementary Teacher

Uncommon Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher to provide rigorous, joyful instruction that prepares students in underserved communities for college and beyond. Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lessons in core subjects for elementary students.
• Create a structured, joyful, and safe classroom environment with strong behavior management systems.
• Use assessments and student data to differentiate instruction and track progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional coaches to refine practice and curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and school expectations.
• Support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations in partnership with support staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, observations, and feedback cycles.
• Contribute to school-wide events, duties, and a mission-driven, equity-focused culture.
