Northwell Health is seeking a full-time, board-certified Director of Pediatric Pulmonology to lead the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH). This role involves providing clinical leadership, direct patient care, and overseeing the education of residents and medical students, with opportunities for clinical research. Practice Info
- The division includes three full-time pediatric pulmonologists, a pulmonology nurse, and an asthma educator.
- Clinical responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient patient care.
- The primary ambulatory site is our Pediatric Multispecialty Center in Staten Island, opened in 2024, where 16 pediatric subspecialties practice in a child-friendly, multidisciplinary setting.
- The division is supported by an 8-bed accredited Sleep Center, an Asthma Center, a PFT lab, and a bronchoscopy suite.
- Our pediatric aerodigestive center - staffed by pediatric pulmonology, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology - opened in early 2026 and is growing rapidly.
- SIUH's Department of Pediatrics features a 20-bed inpatient pediatric unit, a 4-bed PICU, and a state-designated Level III NICU.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH).
- Provide clinical leadership.
- Direct patient care.
- Oversee the education of residents and medical students.
- Participate in clinical research.
Compensation
- Salary: Commensurate with Experience.
- Academic rank and title at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
