Intermountain Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based care to mothers and newborns through all stages of labor, birth, and immediate postpartum. Responsibilities include continuous maternal-fetal monitoring, medication and IV administration, assisting with deliveries and obstetric emergencies, and educating families on postpartum and newborn care. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
- Continuously monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting and responding to changes promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and epidural support per provider orders and protocols
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergent obstetric procedures
- Educate patients and families on birth process, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement standards
- Support emergency responses to obstetric complications and neonatal distress
- Participate in ongoing professional development and unit-based improvement initiatives
