Registered Nurse iFlex Internal Travel Team Emergency Department
Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our iFlex Internal Travel Team supporting Emergency Departments across our system. In this field-based role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in fast-paced ED environments, rapidly assessing and stabilizing diverse patient populations. You will travel between Intermountain facilities to support fluctuating ED volumes, using your advanced clinical skills, sound judgment, and adaptability to integrate quickly into different teams and workflows. Working within a mission-driven, collaborative culture, you will partner closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, contribute to quality and safety initiatives, and mentor colleagues as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Emergency Department patients across Intermountain facilities as part of the internal travel team
- Rapidly assess, prioritize, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions in high-acuity, fast-paced ED settings
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely, following Intermountain and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status using electronic health records and standardized protocols
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care
- Adapt quickly to varying ED workflows, staffing models, and patient populations at different system hospitals
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and process-optimization initiatives within the EDPrecept or mentor newer nurses as appropriate and contribute to a supportive, team-based culture
- Maintain required certifications, competencies, and compliance with all clinical and organizational policies
