Director of Grounds and Pest Control
ABM Industries is seeking a Director of Grounds and Pest Control to lead groundskeeping and pest management services across diverse client facilities. This role oversees multi-site operations, vendor partnerships, and service standards to maintain safe, clean, and compliant environments. The Director will develop SOPs, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety requirements. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching field teams, conducting inspections, resolving service issues, and partnering with clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in grounds and pest operations, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee groundskeeping and pest control programs across client facilities to ensure safe, clean, and compliant environments
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service schedules for landscaping, turf care, and pest management
- Develop and implement standards, SOPs, and inspection routines for grounds and pest control operations
- Supervise, train, and mentor grounds and pest control teams, promoting safety, teamwork, and performance
- Monitor budgets, labor, materials, and equipment usage; identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to pesticide use, environmental standards, and safety
- Collaborate with operations, facilities, and client stakeholders to align services with site needs and service-level agreements
- Track and report quality, safety, and productivity metrics; drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support incident response, audits, and corrective actions related to grounds and pest issues
- Champion ABM's culture of safety, inclusion, and customer service across assigned sites
