Senior Automation Engineer

Powell Industries, a leader in tech solutions, seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize robust automation frameworks for complex software systems. You will architect test automation strategies, develop and maintain scalable test suites, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases across web and API platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll drive best practices, mentor junior engineers, analyze test data, and troubleshoot defects. Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable test automation frameworks for web and API applications.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites for regression and smoke testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and drive root-cause analysis and defect resolution.
• Mentor junior QA and automation engineers on best practices and tooling.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new automation tools and techniques to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for frameworks, test cases, and processes.
