Financial Advisor

Horace Mann seeks a mission-driven Financial Advisor to serve K-12 educators and school employees. In this role, you'll provide personalized guidance on insurance, retirement, and investment solutions, helping clients protect assets and plan for long-term goals. Responsibilities include prospecting within school communities, conducting financial reviews, explaining auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products, and recommending tailored strategies. You'll collaborate with internal teams, maintain detailed documentation, meet compliance standards, and participate in community and school events to deepen relationships and expand your client base.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial planning and insurance guidance to K-12 educators and school employees
• Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and retirement reviews
• Recommend appropriate auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products
• Develop and manage a growing book of business within school communities
• Prospect, network, and participate in school and community events to generate leads
• Ensure all recommendations and documentation comply with regulatory and company standards
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and follow-up communications for clients
• Use CRM and financial planning tools to track activities, pipelines, and client portfolios
• Collaborate with internal underwriting, service, and product teams to support clients
• Stay current on industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes
