Financial Advisor

Horace Mann seeks a Financial Advisor to serve K-12 educators with personalized insurance and retirement solutions. In this mission-driven role, you'll build and manage a book of business, conduct financial needs analyses, and recommend appropriate auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products. You will educate clients on protection and long-term planning, prepare proposals, and support enrollment. Collaborate with school partners, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and leverage training and development programs to grow your expertise and advance your career.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial planning and guidance to K-12 educators and school employees
• Conduct needs analyses and develop tailored insurance and retirement strategies
• Recommend and explain auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products
• Build and manage a book of business and maintain strong client relationships
• Host or support educational sessions for schools and educator groups
• Prepare proposals, illustrations, and enrollment materials
• Ensure compliance with financial, insurance, and privacy regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams and school partners to support clients
• Track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics in CRM tools
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
