Financial Advisor

Horace Mann seeks a mission-driven Financial Advisor to serve K-12 educators and school employees. In this client-facing role, you will provide personalized guidance on insurance and retirement solutions, including auto, home, life, supplemental insurance, and annuity/retirement products. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating tailored financial plans, conducting portfolio and coverage reviews, and explaining complex products clearly. You will build long-term relationships with school communities, collaborate with internal teams, and uphold Horace Mann's values of integrity, customer focus, and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial advice to K-12 educators and school employees
• Assess client needs and develop tailored insurance and retirement plans
• Recommend auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products
• Conduct regular portfolio and coverage reviews with clients
• Educate clients on financial strategies and product options
• Build and maintain long-term relationships within school communities
• Meet sales, service, and compliance targets
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in CRM systems
• Collaborate with internal teams on underwriting, service, and marketing efforts
