Ops Training Instructor

Constellation Energy is seeking an Ops Training Instructor to design and deliver high-impact training for our utility and energy operations teams. In this role, you will create and lead classroom and hands-on training that builds operator competence in plant systems, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with operations leaders to assess skills, close knowledge gaps, and support onboarding and ongoing development. Drawing on your technical experience in utilities or power generation, you'll maintain accurate training records, refine curriculum, and help drive an innovative, safety-first culture in a dynamic, sustainability-focused organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on operations training for utility/energy plant staff
• Develop and update training curricula, manuals, and e-learning content
• Conduct skills assessments, evaluations, and certification checks for operators
• Ensure training content complies with safety, regulatory, and company standards
• Collaborate with operations leaders to identify training needs and gaps
• Maintain training records, documentation, and reporting in LMS or tracking systems
• Support onboarding of new operators and cross-training of existing staff
• Continuously improve training methods using feedback and performance data
• Coach employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures
• Participate in audits, drills, and readiness exercises as training SME
