Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hospital pharmacy operations and clinical services across assigned facilities.
- Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and support staff in a team-based environment.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, USP, and state board of pharmacy regulations.
- Oversee medication safety, quality improvement, and stewardship initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, inventory strategies, and cost-containment efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and administrative leaders on formulary, protocols, and care pathways.
- Use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement process improvements.
- Support implementation and optimization of EMR and pharmacy technology systems.
- Participate in strategic planning for pharmacy services within the health system.
- Contribute to education, training, and professional development initiatives for pharmacy staff and trainees.
