The American National Red Cross seeks a Service to the Armed Forces Specialist to support military members, veterans, and families through emergency communications, casework, and outreach. Based in the Emergency Services department, this role coordinates urgent messages, links clients to resources, and collaborates with military commands and community partners. You will deliver briefings, support disaster responses affecting military communities, and work with volunteers. Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and non-emergency support services to service members, veterans, and their families.
  • Coordinate and process emergency communications and casework for military families in crisis.
  • Collaborate with base commands, VA facilities, and community partners to connect clients with resources.
  • Deliver outreach, briefings, and workshops about Red Cross services on and off military installations.
  • Maintain accurate client records, reports, and documentation in case management systems.
  • Support disaster response operations impacting military communities as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers assisting with Service to the Armed Forces programs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, evenings, weekends, and deployments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Red Cross policies, privacy requirements, and military protocols.
  • Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and mission-driven team culture focused on humanitarian service.
