Neurology Physician Assistant Outpatient

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neurological exams, initial evaluations, and routine follow-up care for adult patients with neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, headache/migraine, stroke follow-up, neuropathy, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases).
• Order, interpret, and evaluate neurodiagnostic tests, including MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and EMG/NCS studies.
• Formulate evidence-based treatment plans, manage disease-modifying therapies, and prescribe medications in accordance with New York state regulations.
• Provide patient and family education regarding disease progression, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Collaborate closely with attending Neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and subspecialty care teams.
• Complete thorough and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program.
• Active, unencumbered New York State Physician Assistant License.
• NCCPA Certification (PA-C).
• Active New York DEA registration and Prescriptive Authority.
• Prior clinical experience or rotation exposure in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Outpatient Internal Medicine subspecialties is highly desirable.
• Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a strong plus in this community.
