  • Shift: Flexible, including inpatient rounding, surgical consults, ER call coverage, and one clinic day/week
  • Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours
  • Employment Type: Locum / Permanent placement options available
  • Licenses/Certs: State licensure as an APP, CPR/BLS, DEA as required
  • Experience: Prior cardiovascular surgery or surgical consult experience preferred

Pay & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (negotiable upon discussion)

What You ll Do:
  • Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults in a cardiovascular surgery setting
  • Support procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, thoracotomies, lobectomies, and AAA repairs
  • Assist in emergency room call coverage and patient management
  • Contribute to the perioperative care and post-op follow-up of approximately 90 surgeries/procedures monthly
  • Collaborate with a team of two cardiovascular surgeons and three APPs to deliver excellent patient care
  • Document clinical findings and assist with patient education and discharge planning

What You Need:
  • Valid Louisiana state license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • At least 2 years of experience in surgical or cardiovascular care preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
