Marvin is seeking a Light Diesel Mechanic to keep our manufacturing fleet and equipment running safely and reliably. In this hands-on role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair light-duty diesel vehicles, lifts, and support equipment, performing both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. You'll troubleshoot engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, brakes, and suspensions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Working on-site with a people-first, safety-focused team, you'll support production uptime, document your work, and contribute to continuous improvement and long-term equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair light-duty diesel vehicles and equipment used in manufacturing operations.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, brake, and suspension systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical data to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance records accurately in the CMMS or work order system.
  • Collaborate with production and facilities teams to prioritize repairs and support safe operations.
  • Follow all Marvin and OSHA safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout.
  • Assist with parts identification, ordering, and inventory for fleet and equipment repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement, suggesting process or equipment upgrades to improve reliability.
  • Participate in on-call or off-shift support as needed to maintain critical equipment uptime.
