Local CDL-A Truck Driver

Boyd Bros. Transportation Inc. is seeking a Local CDL-A Truck Driver to haul steel, building materials, and other flatbed freight in the Birmingham, AL area. This role focuses on daily home time, steady freight, and safety-first operations. You'll operate late-model equipment, secure and tarp loads, and follow DOT and company safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a local CDL-A flatbed truck on assigned routes
• Transport steel, building materials, and other flatbed freight
• Secure and tarp loads according to safety and company standards
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Comply with DOT regulations and all company safety policies
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and necessary paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at delivery sites
• Care for and report maintenance needs on assigned equipment
