Flatbed Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed tractor-trailer safely over regional and/or OTR routes
• Secure, tarp, and inspect steel, building materials, and other flatbed loads per DOT and company standards
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and terminal staff
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and customer site rules
• Plan routes, manage time, and meet on-time pickup and delivery expectations
• Protect freight integrity and company equipment to reduce damage and downtime
• Represent Boyd Bros. with professional conduct and customer service at all times
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and performance reviews
