Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailers hauling dry van, refrigerated, and specialized freight across regional and OTR lanes.
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations, including logs, inspections, and load securement.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and support teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  • Manage hours-of-service using ELD technology and maintain accurate documentation and load paperwork.
  • Handle freight responsibly, including temperature-controlled loads and specialized equipment as required.
  • Practice defensive driving and maintain safe following distances and speed in all road, traffic, and weather conditions.
  • Represent Riverside Transport professionally, supporting a respectful, family-oriented culture with strong customer service.
  • Optimize routes and fuel stops using company technology and follow company policies for routing and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training, safety meetings, and performance reviews to continuously improve skills.
