CDL-A Truck Driver

Smokey Point Distributing is hiring CDL-A Truck Drivers to haul high-value, delicate, and over-dimensional freight on flatbed and step-deck trailers. Based in Arlington, WA, you'll run primarily OTR routes with consistent freight and late-model equipment. Responsibilities include safe operation of tractor-trailers, expert load securement and tarping, accurate logs, and compliance with all DOT/FMCSA regulations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailers on OTR routes hauling flatbed and step-deck freight
• Secure, tarp, and protect high-value, delicate, and over-dimensional loads
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and support staff to manage schedules and deliveries
• Plan routes, manage hours of service, and adjust to changing conditions
• Provide professional service to customers at pickup and delivery locations
• Care for and report maintenance needs on assigned late-model equipment
• Contribute to a culture of safety, professionalism, and mutual respect
