Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A tractors with flatbed and step-deck trailers on regional and OTR routes
• Secure, tarp, and protect high-value, delicate, and over-dimensional freight
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
• Use electronic logs and communication systems to update dispatch and track loads
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules while managing hours of service
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and terminal staff
• Care for and report maintenance needs on late-model equipment
• Follow load handling procedures for specialized and over-dimensional freight
• Represent Smokey Point Distributing's safety-first, professional culture on the road
