Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight safely and efficiently on regional and over-the-road routes for J&R Schugel
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and DOT compliance
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic logs and documentation in accordance with FMCSA and company policies
  • Secure, load, and unload freight as required, ensuring proper cargo handling to prevent damage and maintain load integrity
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and internal safety standards while representing Honeywell customers and J&R Schugel with professionalism
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch, planners, and customers regarding route status, delays, and delivery expectations
  • Follow planned routes and schedules while using GPS and routing tools to optimize fuel efficiency and on-time performance
  • Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with Honeywell's innovation-focused and collaborative environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized tractor and trailer, and report mechanical issues promptly for repair
  • Provide courteous, professional service at customer locations, building positive relationships and representing the company brand
