As a CNC Machinist III at Tecomet, you will set up, program, and operate complex CNC equipment to produce precision orthopedic, medical device, and aerospace components. You'll interpret detailed blueprints and GD&T, perform advanced setups, adjust programs at the machine, and verify tight tolerances using precision inspection tools. Working in a regulated manufacturing environment, you will collaborate with engineering and quality teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of mission-critical parts.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes to produce precision medical and aerospace components per blueprints and work orders
- Interpret complex drawings, GD&T, and specifications to select tools, offsets, speeds, and feeds
- Perform program edits at the machine; troubleshoot and resolve machining and dimensional issues
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM or other advanced metrology tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO/FDA/AS9100)
- Complete required documentation, routers, and quality records accurately and on time
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and setup reductions to maximize uptime
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes and throughput
- Support continuous improvement, 5
- S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor
- Adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance requirements
