Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Sleep Technologist to perform high-quality overnight and daytime polysomnographic studies in a patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include sensor application, real-time monitoring, scoring sleep stages and events, and initiating or adjusting PAP therapies per protocol. You'll ensure patient safety and comfort, educate patients on procedures and equipment, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate closely with physicians and clinical teams. Responsibilities

  • Conduct overnight and daytime sleep studies (polysomnography) following physician orders and AASM standards
  • Apply and monitor EEG, EKG, respiratory, oximetry, and other sleep-related sensors and equipment
  • Recognize and document sleep stages, events, and abnormalities in real time
  • Identify and respond to respiratory or cardiac events, adjusting therapy such as CPAP/Bi
  • PAP as directed
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy while providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain sleep lab equipment and software
  • Score sleep studies and prepare accurate, timely reports for physician interpretation
  • Educate patients on sleep study procedures, sleep hygiene, and use of therapeutic devices
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists in a team-based clinical environment
  • Maintain detailed records, follow infection control and regulatory standards, and support quality improvement
