Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to perform comprehensive sleep studies for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include patient preparation, overnight monitoring, data acquisition and scoring, CPAP/BiPAP titration, and equipment troubleshooting. The technologist will collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnostics and optimal treatment plans. Responsibilities

  • Perform overnight and daytime polysomnographic studies following AASM standards
  • Prepare and educate patients on sleep procedures and equipment
  • Apply and verify sensors and electrodes; ensure high-quality signal acquisition
  • Monitor patients, documenting clinical events and ensuring safety and comfort
  • Score sleep stages and respiratory/cardiac events using standardized criteria
  • Titrate CPAP/Bi
  • PAP and other therapies per protocol and physician orders
  • Collaborate with sleep physicians and care teams on diagnostic interpretation
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PSG equipment and software
  • Document procedures, findings, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
  • Support quality improvement, accreditation, and best-practice initiatives within the sleep center
