Student Success Counselor

As a Student Success Coach and Mentor with City Year, you'll work full-time in a partner school to support students' academic and social-emotional growth. In the Education, Training & E-Learning department, you'll provide tutoring, mentoring, and classroom support, track student progress, and collaborate with teachers and teammates. City Year offers training, leadership development, and a collaborative, inclusive culture committed to social justice and student success.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to support academic, social, and emotional growth
• Provide tutoring, small-group instruction, and classroom support in partnership with teachers
• Monitor student progress, track data, and adjust support plans as needed
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Promote an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
• Participate in ongoing training, reflection, and professional development
• Collaborate with a diverse City Year team to implement schoolwide initiatives
• Support attendance, behavior, and engagement interventions
