Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group tutoring in core subjects to help students meet academic goals
• Build positive, mentoring relationships with students to support attendance, behavior, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to plan and deliver interventions aligned with classroom instruction
• Collect and track student data to monitor progress and adjust support strategies
• Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings to develop professional skills and enhance service impact
• Engage families and community partners to support whole-school initiatives and events
• Model City Year's values of equity, inclusion, and service in daily interactions with students and colleagues
