Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class academic support in core subjects like math and English
• Offer one-on-one and small-group tutoring to students
• Mentor students to support social-emotional growth and positive behavior
• Collaborate with teachers to track student progress and adjust support
• Plan and lead enrichment or after-school activities
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Engage families and school staff to strengthen student support
• Collect and report data on student attendance, behavior, and performance
• Model inclusive, culturally responsive practices aligned with City Year values
