Student Success Counselor

As a Student Success Coach and Mentor with City Year, you'll work full-time in public schools supporting student growth. In this role, you'll provide academic coaching, small-group tutoring, and social-emotional mentoring to help students stay on track to graduate. You'll collaborate with teachers, track student progress, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom climate. Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group academic tutoring during and after school
• Mentor students to build social-emotional skills, confidence, and engagement
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and align support strategies
• Monitor and document student progress, attendance, and engagement data
• Support classroom routines and contribute to a positive learning environment
• Assist with school-wide initiatives, events, and family engagement activities
• Participate in ongoing City Year training, coaching, and professional development
• Model inclusive, culturally responsive practices in all student interactions
• Communicate regularly with school staff and City Year teammates about student progress
• Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team culture focused on student success
