Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide daily in-class support and small-group or one-on-one tutoring in core subjects
• Build positive, mentoring relationships with students to promote engagement and attendance
• Support teachers with classroom activities, behavior management, and learning routines
• Track student progress and use data to inform academic and social-emotional supports
• Participate in training, coaching, and reflection to develop leadership and professional skills
• Engage in school-wide projects, family events, and service days as part of a diverse team
