Academic Tutor

City Year is seeking an Academic Tutor to support students' academic and social-emotional growth in partner public schools. In this full-time role, you will provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, track student progress, and collaborate with teachers to align support with classroom instruction. You will serve as a mentor and positive role model, helping students build confidence, set goals, and develop effective learning habits. Responsibilities

• Provide daily in-class and after-school academic tutoring in core subjects
• Mentor students to build social-emotional skills, confidence, and engagement
• Track and report student progress using school and City Year tools
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support classroom learning
• Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings for continuous development
• Support school-wide initiatives, events, and positive school climate activities
