Senior Automotive Technician

Bruce's Tire & Auto Service seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles in a busy, customer-focused shop. You'll handle brakes, tires, suspensions, alignments, engine performance issues, and routine services while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. As a senior team member, you'll help guide junior techs, communicate clearly with service advisors and customers, and uphold our reputation for honest, reliable work. Ideal candidates bring strong hands-on experience, ASE certifications, and a commitment to continuous learning and community-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Complete brake, suspension, alignment, and tire services to high quality standards
• Conduct routine maintenance including inspections, fluid services, and tune-ups
• Accurately document findings, repairs, and recommended services
• Collaborate with service advisors to explain repairs and timelines
• Provide clear, courteous communication to customers as needed
• Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices
• Follow all safety, environmental, and shop cleanliness standards
• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify complex issues
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, customer-focused shop culture
